Purple Woods Maple Syrup FestivalWith the approach of spring a person may be sure of several things: birds will be singing and pancakes will be flipping at the 37th Annual Maple Syrup Festival at Purple Woods Conservation Area in Oshawa. Central Lake Ontario Conservation (CLOCA) will be hosting the Festival, open daily from 10:00am to 2:30pm during the March Break (March 10th to 18th), as well as March 24th/25th and March 31st/April 1st weekends. A visit to the Festival makes a great family outing during the March Break! *Sorry no pets

March Break'n It at Elman Campbell MuseumDrop in 10a.m. to 3p.m. Suitable for ages 4-10 years. Tuesday, March 13 Creative Crafts, $5.50 per person Drop in for some creative time making a variety of crafts. Wednesday March 14, Bumble Bee Fun, $5.50 per person Join in the fun with some wacky activities. March 15, 16, 17 Museum Mayhem, Free Learn how to walk on stilts or attempt hula hoops. Try our old fashioned wooden toys & games and go on a Museum Scavenger Hunt. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a caregiver 18 years of age or over. Sunderland Maple Syrup Festival

People travel great distances each year to see what riches the little town of Sunderland has to offer. They come to join in the festival fun and to be part of a small town community filled with love, drive and spirit. Horton Tree Farms Maple Syrup FestivalEnjoy the simple pleasure of being in the fragrant maple woods on a crisp March or April day. Smell the sweet aroma from the sugar shack as the maple sap is boiled down to syrup. Savour the hot pancakes fresh off the griddle smothered with our homemade maple syrup in the old log cabin. March Break Days at the McMichael GalleryCome enjoy a day (or four!) participating in the Canadian Maple Festival, a series of storytelling and art-making activities throughout the gallery.
