Aurora Family Day Arctic Adventure
On
Family Day, Monday, February 20, join family, friends and neighbours at the Town of Aurora's Arctic Adventure
event happening from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Town Park, located at Mosley and Wells Streets. The event also
features skating, dogsled rides, ice carvings, snow shoeing and live entertainment. Vendors will also be
selling homemade cookies, BeaverTails®, hot dogs, hamburgers, hot chocolate and coffee. Please note:

Family Day Photofun at the Varley Art GalleryThis
year, families are invited to create their own unique family portrait snapshots! Child taking photograph Create
props, enhance backdrops, have a cup of cocoa and capture it on film for posterity! Recreate your family's
favourite or most meaningful moment this year in a fun and creative way. Each family will receive a copy of
their strip and images will be available online on the Varley’s Facebook page to keep and share. The program
also includes an Art Hunt and visit into the gallery to view our works in our permanent collection with our
knowledgeable guides. Families can also make their own buttons as a souvenir of the experience! (50 cents per
button). The booth and studio will be open 12pm-4pm but note that space is limited.

Toronto Kids-FestCanada's largest indoor inflatable
Festival – is doubling its size for 2012 to offer more than 100,000 square feet of fun over Family Day weekend!
Blown up and ready for play will be 38 of some of North America's largest indoor inflatable rides – double
the number from last year. Kids will jump, bounce, slide, crawl and laugh their way through the day. All this,
in addition to shows, interactive activities, games, crafts, character meet-and-greets, face painting, pony
rides and more! Geared toward children 12 and under, this weekend will be chalked full of entertainment! Admission

Family Day at the AGOThe Art Gallery of Ontario
will celebrate Family Day 2012 by transforming for one special day into the Kids Gallery of Ontario (KGO).
On Monday, Feb. 20, the Gallery offers a family-friendly art-making extravaganza featuring the creation of
a day-long exhibition by kids entitled Kid Nouveau. To make family visits more affordable on Family day, the
AGO will offer a 20% discount on Family Passes, lowering the price to $39. A Family Pass admits two adults
and up to five youths (ages 6 to 17). As always, admission for children of age 5 and under is free.

at the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) this year as we invite families to tour Maya: Secrets of their Ancient World
and learn about chocolate, the food of the gods. Discover
the mysterious ancient Maya culture. Participate in Maya-themed crafts and learn about the Mayas chocolate
traditions, while enjoying the ROMs new lower admission prices. Maya: Secrets of their Ancient World brings
the ancient Maya culture to life with nearly 250 artifacts including large sculptures, ceramics, masks, and
jewellery. Many of these objects have never been publically displayed. Make sure to look for the
Maya High Priest, covered in body paint and wearing an ornate headdress. He loves posing for photos! After
learning about the Maya culture, the ROM invites you to take part in Maya themed crafts, including archaeological
digs and pyramid building. Take part in chocolate and tortilla workshops throughout the afternoon to learn
about their fascinating history.
