Potted Potter: The Unauthorized Harry Experience - A Parody by Dan and JeffAll seven Harry Potter
books in seventy minutes! Watch BBC's Dan and Jeff take on the ultimate challenge, with the help of endless
costumes, brilliant songs, ridiculous props, and a generous helping of Hogwarts magic. This fantastically
funny show features all your favourite characters, a special appearance from a very frightening fire-breathing
dragon, and even a game of Quidditch involving the audience! This brilliant show was first seen in 2006,
and is playing an international tour in 2012. A must-see for Potter addicts, and a great introduction

Horizon Arts Camp’s Family Arts Night & Information

Camp is an exciting professional performing (music, dance, theatre) and visual arts camp with a balance

POWER KIDS / PortraitsInspired
by the Malabar People, the dramatic portrait series by Stan Douglas currently on view at The Power Plant,
this workshop will explore creative drawing and collage approaches to portraiture. Using various materials
and working with a partner, participants will create a portrait melding imagined settings with black-and-white
life drawing. Participants will learn about the fundamentals of portraiture such as framing, proportion
and setting, as well as basic lighting techniques, and will take turns sitting for a portrait while their
partner sketches. The portraits will then be transformed through a mosaic magazine collage technique to
create invented backgrounds. Kids will receive their portraits at the end of the workshop and parents are
expected to join their children in all activities. Led by artist-educator and Animateur at The Power Plant,
Anna Bouzina. For children ages 8 – 12 and their adult companions.
